When it comes to dieting, you have to be careful with what you put in your mouth, you are what you eat after all. Food is a necessity when it comes to nourish your body but eating too much of food is also not good for your health even if it’s healthy. Just because you’re on a diet doesn’t mean you have to stop eating certain type of foods, you can still eat them but in moderation only. Your foods options is not limited when you’re really trying to eat healthy, you just have to find the healthy foods that you actually enjoy eating.

Meats:

Eating meat is the best part of dieting, it’s tasty, fulfilling and natural. That’s where most people get their protein from, you also get vitamins and minerals. Just make sure you’re eating the right meat like chicken breast, steak, turkey breast, goat, lamb etc…

Seafood:

Seafood makes a good addition to your food plate. Seafood contains good fats and high protein and it is recommended to eat seafood twice a week. You must eat seafood only if you’re not allergy to them. My favorite seafood are salmon, shrimp, scallop, mussels, tilapia and so on.

Grains:

It’s always better to eat whole grains so you can consume all the nutrients benefits and especially Fibers. But grains are also loaded with carbs which means you have to be careful with the amount you’re consuming. Type of grains you can try are brown rice, corn, wheat, yellow rice, oat and many more.

Beans:

You should always put beans as part of your diet, they are nutrients dense food and have a lot of health benefits similar to rice. You can always eat beans with rice, they go well together. Some of the healthy beans are black beans, soybeans, pinto beans and some more.

Vegetables:

Vegetables are the healthiest food to consume and you can never have to much of them. They provide a lot of health benefits like vitamins and minerals. There are many type of vegetables you should eat on a regular basis. Here are some vegetables you should eat: Broccoli, spinach, kale, beet, asparagus, celery, zucchini, pumpkin, okra, parsley and a lot more.

Tubers:

Tubers are very fulfilling and provide energy. You only cultivate them under ground. They contain some good benefits but must be consumed in moderation. What you can eat as tubers are potato, cassava, sweet potato, yam and couple more.

There you go, these are some of the foods you should be consuming when you decide to eat healthy. They have antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and nutritional benefits. If you follow a certain meal plans ,they can help with fat loss, weight loss, muscle growth and weight gains all depending on your goals. There are also other type of foods you can eat  like pasta dish, healthy snacks, soup, eggs, dairy product, wheat bread, fruits and healthy cooking supplies.
